Calvin Klein Minimalism

Calvin Klein has launched it's new Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaigns for the swimwear, watches&jewelry and mainline collections. Once again we're struck.Lara Stone works the labels line really well and embodies the ck's principles of glamorous, strong simplicity which makes the clothes suitable for any occasion.Looking at the swimwears clear yet sexy cut we are yet again awaiting the summer impatiently!

Springspiration
With temperatures rising and the sun peeking out for the first time in weeks,
there's only one thing we're thinking:SPRING!
So here's one post dedicated to what is coming in the next months,
some of what we loved in the past and would love to see in the future.

A little discovery
While in Ireland, we've had the luck to meet Uisneagh Treacy from the new uprising indie band EMPIRE SAINTS.
The Empire Saints are a Bray based/Dublin bound band consisting of Fiachra Treacy (vocals, guitars), Uisneagh Treacy (bass), Noel Healy (drums),and Pete Cheevers (lead guitar).
An unsigned band, the Empire Saints discribe themselves as a alternative band that is producing itself and therefore has no boundaries set to their creativity.
In our opinion, this can definitely be noticed, our favorite track so far is "The Drowning"; the parallels Kings of leon regarding the guitar solos and to Placebo regarding the vocals can't be denied, though.Check them out at www.myspace.com/empiresaints or www.empiresaints.com
As they are currently producing their new album with which they want to take on the rest of Europe, we wish them tons of luck and hope to hear of them soon!

Nude
Die Farbe war auf der Pariser Fashion Week ein absolutes Highlight und überall zu sehen. Und auch in der neuen H&M Kollektion ist der Ton sehr oft vertreten: Nude.
An Alexa Chung fiel uns der Ton zum ersten Mal auf. Sie trug nudefarbene Ballerinas mit Nieten besetzt, ähnlich wie die neue Schuhkollektion, die von Valentino auf den Markt gekommen ist.
Ich werde mich wohl mit einer preiswerteren Version zufrieden geben müssen und mir rosa farbene Ballerinas für die Sommersaison gönnen. Auch ein rosa Lippenstift rundet den Nude Look ab, und verleiht einem farbintensiven Outfit eine besondere Note.
